Following the Oregon trail

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSSA, it was so good to see you! We found our way to seattle and climbed to the top of the needle. Your could see all of seattle from it, and a pretty great view of the mountains. We saw Alyssa and we all jumped in her pool and then used her shower. She showed us the troll and brought us to some great Indian food. Before Leaving seattle we walked around the area of the university and stopped at good ol' home depot. We slept at an awesome campsite outside of Seattle, it was 96 acres. It was just max, I, and Gus in the woods. it was very peaceful. We spent some time on our roof, Max almost rolled off our roof, we did some housekeeping. We ate at the ShipWreck Cafe, another recommendation from Candy the GPS. The waitresses really got a kick out of Gus. We stopped on the side of the road at a fruit stand, We got a full tray (1sq foot big) of the best raspberries T have even eaten for $10. They were all gone by dinner time. We drove to Mount Hood in the morning to visit Jake at snowboarding camp. Government camp is chill, a lot of boarders (skate, snow, didn't seem to matter). We got one of Jakes friends to add a little something extra to Gus, who was looking a little too blue. "Creative thought Matters," skidmore mantra and also a pretty apt message for Gus as well is now painted on his side. We hung out with jake, until we left to sleep on mount hood. We cooked dinner, had some wine and cheese, attempted to wash our dishes. This means that Max pumped freezing cold water on our dishes, and I swished trying not to get the water all over me. We thought we would make it to portland on Tuesday morning, but Candy (the GPS) got a little distracted, she took us on a 2 hour long detour of the mountains which was really beautiful. We got out to go for a jog and bath ourselves in a nearby waterhole. "I didn't know water could get this cold," Max yelped. Right now we are in South East Portland. We ate some conveyor belt sushi, and found wifi in 3 friends coffee shop. So far Oregon is awesome.
